Job Description

Wild Waves Theme & Waterpark is a popular family entertainment destination located in Federal Way, Washington. Known for its exciting combination of thrill rides, water attractions, and live entertainment, Wild Waves provides a vibrant setting where guests of all ages can create memorable experiences. The park is committed to maintaining a safe, fun, and welcoming environment and takes pride in its high standards for guest service and safety protocols. As a well-established theme and water park, Wild Waves offers a dynamic work atmosphere ideal for those looking to engage with diverse guests while developing valuable hospitality and customer service skills.

The Bartender Team Member position at Wild Waves Theme & Waterpark plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through professional beverage service. This role is designed for individuals 21 years or older who possess or have the ability to obtain necessary permits such as the MAST Class 12 Server Permit and the Washington State Food Handler's Card. Bartender Team Members are responsible for efficiently serving a variety of alcoholic beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring compliance with all state and park alcohol service regulations. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask during peak periods, and a strong commitment to safety and responsible alcohol service.

In this role, team members will greet guests warmly, serve wine, bottled beer, and draft beer, and handle transactions through the park’s point-of-sale system. They also provide support to kitchen staff when needed and assist in maintaining bar equipment such as kegs, tap lines, and blenders. Monitoring alcohol consumption to prevent over-service and adhering strictly to all applicable laws and park policies are essential responsibilities. The role demands active teamwork, as Bartender Team Members collaborate closely with other park staff and management to ensure smooth operations and a positive environment.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.25 and requires flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina is important given the outdoor work environment and the demands of standing, walking, lifting, and other physical activities. Wild Waves values providing reasonable accommodations to support team members in fulfilling their duties effectively. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, enjoy working in an energetic and guest-focused setting, and want to develop their skills in the hospitality and entertainment industry.
