Among its prestigious brands, JW Marriott stands out as a luxury collection of more than 100 beautiful hotels located in prominent cities and prime resort destinations worldwide. JW Marriott believes in prioritizing employees because when its associates are happy, guests will be happy too. Employees at JW Marriott are trusted, innovative, genuine, and intuitive, carrying forward the legacy of the company founder, J. Willard Marriott. The company offers an unparalleled work experience, fostering a sense of community and true camaraderie among a diverse group of colleagues. JW Marriott emphasizes opportunities for training, development, and recognition within a luxurious and holistic wellness-focused environment. This is known as the The JW Treatment™.
This full-time, non-management Bartender position based in Seattle, Washington, offers a fixed hourly wage of $21.30 plus tips and is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about the art of cocktail making and guest service. As a Bartender at JW Marriott, you are a skilled mixologist who is always aware of new beverage trends and can create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere behind the bar. You take pride in offering guests a diverse drink menu inspired by seasonal ingredients and enjoy connecting with guests through genuine conversations and helpful suggestions. Your authentic personality allows guests to relax and unwind after a long day.
In this role, you will welcome guests warmly, serve beverages including wine and champagne, manage bar supplies, maintain a clean and organized bar area, and process payments while handling cashier reports with accuracy. The position requires physical stamina as it involves standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods and the ability to lift and move weights of up to 25 pounds. A professional appearance with a clean uniform is mandatory. Prior to employment, you will receive safety training and certification.
Working at JW Marriott gives you the chance to blend your passion for beverages with a rewarding career as you hone and showcase your cocktail-making skills. The company supports ongoing growth through various opportunities in the business, offering diverse career paths. Full-time employees enjoy benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care, life insurance, disability insurance, accident insurance, adoption expense reimbursements, paid parental leave, and educational assistance. Employees in Washington State accrue paid sick leave and paid time off according to state regulations and are eligible for a minimum of seven paid holidays annually.
The work environment at JW Marriott is one of inclusion, where diversity is celebrated and all employees feel welcomed and valued. Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing opportunities without discrimination based on disability, veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics. As part of the Marriott family, you will be contributing to the company’s mission to enhance the art of hospitality through genuine, anticipatory service that exceeds guest expectations. Joining JW Marriott means being part of an incredible global team, where you can achieve your best work, fulfill your purpose, and evolve into the best version of yourself.
