Job Description
Invited is a renowned leader in the hospitality and service industry, operating since 1957 with a core mission to build meaningful relationships and enrich the lives of its members, guests, and over 17,000 employees. As the largest owner and operator of private clubs nationwide, Invited manages more than 130 exclusive country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs. These clubs boast first-class amenities including championship golf courses, modern workspaces, artisanal cuisine, resort-style pools, state-of-the-art racquet sports facilities, fitness centers, and much more. The company is deeply committed to fostering a culture of inclusiveness, growth, and excellence, making it an exciting place to advance a career in hospitality. Invited values teamwork and strives to deliver outstanding service through its dedicated workforce, creating extraordinary experiences for its members and guests.
The role of a Bartender at Invited is critical to maintaining the high standards expected by the company and its clientele. Serving as the face of the club’s beverage service, a Bartender is responsible for maintaining beverage control, accurately pouring and serving drinks, and keeping the bar area clean and organized. This role demands a strong commitment to delivering outstanding member service that aligns with the club's standards and exceeds expectations through personalized attention and hospitality excellence. A Bartender at Invited consistently implements the three steps of service to elevate the guest experience and ensure satisfaction. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Beverage, Director of Restaurants, or Director of Banquets, this position operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring cooperation, professionalism, and a proactive mindset.
Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing the bar for service by setting up bottles, garnishes, glassware, and ice; greeting members by name and delivering personalized experiences; executing orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the club’s beverage offerings; and ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of the bar area. Bartenders are also expected to support colleagues and contribute actively to a positive team environment, complete all daily assignments and side work, and participate fully in team efforts to meet club standards. Beyond the daily duties, they may be called upon to assist with additional tasks as the operational needs of the club evolve, showcasing a flexible approach to work responsibilities.
Invited looks for Bartenders who possess a high school diploma or equivalent, certification in alcohol and food safety awareness, prior experience in food and beverage service, excellent communication skills, and a solid knowledge base of various cocktails and wine varietals. Physical stamina is essential, as the position requires standing and walking for extended periods, the ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds occasionally, and the capacity to work in diverse temperature settings. Bartenders must also demonstrate a strong ethical work standard and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
Invited provides a comprehensive Total Rewards package for eligible full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off, reflecting the company's commitment to supporting its team. This opportunity offers a vibrant work culture where employees are encouraged to develop their careers, expand their skills, and be part of a dedicated community focused on delivering exceptional member experiences. Joining Invited as a Bartender means becoming part of a storied company that values respect, excellence, and inclusivity while promising a fulfilling and rewarding career path in a prestigious club environment.
