Known for its emphasis on wellness and guest experience, Westin Bellevue commits itself to empowering guests to reclaim control of their wellbeing during travel. The hotel prides itself on fostering a supportive, inclusive, and diverse environment for both guests and employees, promoting a workplace culture that values personal growth, professionalism, and exceptional service standards.

The position available is for a Part-Time Bartender, a crucial non-management role within the Food and Beverage department. This role offers an hourly wage of $17.13, with tip eligibility, reflecting the hospitality industry's standard for rewarding exemplary service. The Bartender is not only responsible for preparing beverages correctly but also for crafting memorable and unique guest experiences. This role requires someone who stays abreast of market trends, understands evolving guest needs, and excels as the host of the bar environment.

The Bartender must maintain high standards of quality for every beverage served and exercise responsibility beyond the bar counter by actively managing the guest's direct experience. Establishing strong internal relationships within the hotel and with the local community is a key aspect of the role. Emphasis is placed on the bartender's passion for guest experience, attention to detail in managing cash transactions, providing accurate information, and upholding pride in beverage quality.

This role is physically engaging, involving tasks such as standing, walking, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, and various movements including bending, stretching, and turning. Essential duties also include maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, protecting the company's assets, and consistently upholding a professional appearance and communication level.

Westin places high value on diversity and equal opportunity employment. Employees are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work within an atmosphere that respects individual backgrounds and experiences. While prior supervisory experience is not required, a minimum of one year of related work experience is preferred. Additionally, a valid MASt certification is preferred, and open availability is favored to meet the dynamic scheduling needs.

The comprehensive benefits package includes a 401(k) plan, stock purchase plans, travel discounts, employee assistance programs, childcare discounts, and, for full-time employees, medical, dental, vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance, accident coverage, adoption expense reimbursements, paid parental leave, and educational assistance. Washington state employees gain paid sick leave, paid time off accrual, and eligibility for at least seven paid holidays annually.

Joining Westin Bellevue means becoming part of a global team dedicated to excellence in service, wellness, and hospitality. The hotel seeks individuals who are passionate, active, optimistic, and adventurous, ready to embody the brand's mission and rise to become their best selves in a supportive, empowering work environment.
