This position is for an experienced bartender who is passionate about serving guests and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The bartender will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service Dania Entertainment Center is known for. The bartender will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of the bar area, preparing and serving beverages and food to guests promptly and professionally, multitasking orders efficiently, and adhering strictly to state and local regulations for alcohol service. The role requires attention to detail, especially in maintaining inventory and record-keeping such as opening and closing checklists. The bartender will also be expected to handle payments and respond to general customer inquiries to enhance guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate brings more than three years of bartending experience, a strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, and excellent communication skills. They must be enthusiastic, energetic, and capable of standing for extended periods during shifts, as well as lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary. Flexibility is key, with work schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays, as the venue operates during peak entertainment hours. Additionally, candidates must be willing to work in an environment that may include a semi-enclosed terrace where smoking is permitted.
To comply with regulatory standards, the candidate must apply for and obtain an appropriate state occupational gaming license, which includes a lifetime FBI criminal background check. Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- 3+ years of bartending experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic and energetic
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- May be required to assist customers in an open, well-ventilated, semi-enclosed terrace where smoking is permitted
- Must apply and obtain appropriate state occupational gaming license
- Must pass drug testing and applicable background checks
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Responsible for overall cleanliness and appearance of the bar area
- Prepares and services beverages for servers and guests in a quick, efficient, friendly and professional manner
- Serves food to guests
- Multi-tasks several orders at once
- Ensures that guests are served in accordance to State and local guidelines regarding the service of alcohol, including checking identification
- Determines when a guest has had too much alcohol and contacts the manager on duty or security for assistance
- Processes payments
- Maintains inventory of the bar
- Maintains an opening and closing check list
- Answers general customer inquiries as needed
- Performs all other duties as assigned
