Job Requirements

Bartenders need to be at least 21 years of age
completes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification health card or food handlers permit where required
team members who work with alcohol are required to complete a safe alcohol service training program
prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
availability to work flexible hours which include evenings weekends and holidays
requires regular and consistent attendance
has an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
provides excellent guest service
accurate cash handling and basic math skills
interpersonal skills include the ability to communicate verbal and written with all ages genders and personalities must be able to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English
ability to work in a team environment and independently
ability to take and follow direction
responds with a sense of urgency

Job Qualifications

Basic food handling training and any local or state mandated certification or food handlers permit where required
completion of safe alcohol service training
prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
accurate cash handling and basic math skills
ability to communicate verbally and in writing with guests of all ages and backgrounds effectively in English
ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Duties

Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
possess full knowledge of bar and menu items and make recommendations
accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
consistently use suggestive selling techniques
collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
deliver food and beverage orders within established time frames
process payment for completed guest orders
maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar
assist the general manager on duty with placing orders for all liquor and bar related supplies
consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
monitor safety and security issues and report issues to management
perform other work-related duties as assigned
