Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and energetic Bartender to join our team. The Bartender will be an essential part of our front-of-house team responsible for preparing, serving, and presenting a wide range of beverages and some food items in a timely manner. This position requires a friendly and professional individual who takes pride in making a positive difference in every guest's visit. You will prepare the bar for opening, restock supplies, maintain cleanliness, check guest identification when necessary, and monitor guest behavior to ensure safety and compliance with hotel policies. The role demands a commitment to quality, guest satisfaction, and adherence to the company's culture and guiding principles.

Job Requirements

  • Must have open availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members verbally and in writing
  • Ability to pay strong attention to detail
  • Capable of standing for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to maintain a favorable working relationship with associates
  • Timely and efficient performance of duties according to company policies
  • Willingness to assist in other hotel areas as needed
  • Ability to promptly report unusual or significant issues to supervisors
  • Must project a positive image of the hotel at all times

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in bartending or serving beverages preferred
  • Knowledge of mixology and beverage preparation
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure in a busy environment
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and orders
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and set-up bar items including liquors, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies
  • Greet and acknowledge guests promptly and engage in conversation
  • Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when to cease service, notify management as needed
  • Check identification for guests of questionable age requesting alcohol
  • Restock drink items and supplies regularly
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and bar area, keeping it orderly
  • Properly store unused drink and food items in compliance with health codes
  • Follow hotel operational procedures for ordering supplies below par levels
  • Receive supplies, date them, and rotate stock
  • Acquire knowledge of hotel facilities and local information to assist guests
  • Inform management of any guest dissatisfaction promptly
