This position requires availability on weekends and involves a range of responsibilities critical to guest satisfaction and event success. Bartenders at Endicott College's Misselwood estate must be skilled in responsibly serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, accurately handling monetary transactions, and maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar throughout the event. Moreover, the role demands attention to detail in inventory management, including tracking and restocking supplies such as juice, sodas, beer, and wine. The bartender will also be involved in setting up and breaking down the bar area, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and secured at the end of each event.
Reporting to the Director of Event Operations and working closely under the supervision of the head bartender during events, this role requires excellent communication skills, adaptability, reliability, and a customer-focused approach. Bartenders are expected to be proactive team players who take initiative, demonstrate organizational skills, and maintain professionalism under the dynamic conditions of event service. The position does not entail supervisory responsibilities but requires collaboration with other team members to enhance the overall guest experience.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior bartending or event service experience preferred
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Must have legal age to serve alcohol
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- ServeSafe or TIPS certified
- Must be able to work late hours
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Responsibly serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to event guests
- Accurately check IDs
- Responsible for monetary transactions while operating the cash register
- Perform the set up and break down of the bar
- Cleaning and ensuring dish machine is turned off at the end of the night
- Responsible for counting empty beer bottles and soda bottles for event inventory sheet
- Responsible for refilling the juice, sodas, beer and wine behind the bar for events
- Restocking and keeping track of inventory needs
- Other duties as assigned
