Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned restaurant chain specializing in seafood, known for its commitment to quality and customer experience for more than fifty years. Originating as a family-owned restaurant, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved brand with over 500 locations, offering guests a special connection to seafood and coastal cuisine. The company prides itself on creating a welcoming environment where new friends become familiar faces, emphasizing community engagement and exceptional dining experiences. Red Lobster is more than just a place to eat or work; it is a vibrant part of the communities it serves, fostering a sense of belonging and memorable moments.
The role of Bartender at Red Lobster is a key position that directly impacts guest satisfaction and overall restaurant ambiance. This position offers a competitive salary with weekly pay and flexible scheduling to accommodate a variety of lifestyles. In addition to a supportive work environment, Red Lobster provides medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. Employees also have access to a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service, anniversary pay for eligible staff, and discounted meals during shifts and as guests. Furthermore, the company invests in its people by offering training and career advancement opportunities aimed at growth and professional development.
As a Bartender at Red Lobster, you will welcome and greet customers warmly as they are seated, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Responsibilities include preparing the bar and stocking glassware and drink stations before opening, as well as limited restocking during service. You will suggest sales of drinks, appetizers, and desserts based on customer preferences and prepare all beverages according to standard recipes, glassware, and garnishes. Accurately taking food and beverage orders and entering them into the POS system is critical, as is monitoring customer satisfaction, offering drink refills, and clearing unused items promptly. The role requires strict adherence to food safety standards to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Physical demands of the job include meeting minimum age requirements and authorization to work in the United States. You must be able to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds safely, stand for shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours, and work efficiently in a team setting while multitasking and paying close attention to detail. Reasonable accommodations are available to support people with disabilities in performing essential job functions.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team with exciting plans for the future. This is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career in the hospitality industry at a company that values equality, inclusivity, and the unique contributions of every employee. Red Lobster is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, fostering a welcoming workplace for all, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status.
