The role of Bartender at Great Park Ice is pivotal to maintaining the high standards of guest service and hospitality that the establishment is known for. This part-time position offers a competitive starting hourly rate of $21.00 and is designed for candidates who are experienced, personable, and skilled in the art of beverage service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for mixing, serving, and pouring alcoholic beverages according to guests’ orders and established recipes, ensuring both accuracy and quality in every drink. The position requires adherence to responsible alcohol service guidelines to guarantee the safety and satisfaction of all patrons.

In this role, you will engage directly with guests, taking food and beverage orders, making recommendations, and upselling daily specials where appropriate. Your knowledge of the complete menu, including ingredients and preparation specifications, will be essential in delivering a seamless and enjoyable experience. Collaborating closely with kitchen staff and service assistants, you will help ensure that guest orders are delivered accurately and promptly, with keen attention to any dietary restrictions or allergies.

Beyond beverage preparation, this role involves maintaining the bar area through tasks such as inventory management, station setup, breakdown, and cleaning duties. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize are crucial in managing multiple demands effectively. Job Duties

  • Ability to mix and serve traditional and established alcoholic beverage menu items
  • prepare and serve all alcohol beverages by precisely measuring pour volume in accordance to established alcohol service
  • serve any/all alcoholic beverages responsibly by strictly adhering to responsible alcohol service guidelines
  • properly organize, maintain, and accurately record inventory of liquor, beer, wine, and any sellable beverage item
  • inform manager of replenishment needs
  • take food and beverage orders for all guests seated in designated areas
  • make recommendations in accordance to guests’ requests
  • sell/upsell daily specials
  • possess knowledge of complete menu offerings, including production specifications, ingredients, cooking times, presentation/packaging
  • collaborate with kitchen staff and Server Assistants to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of guest(s)’ orders
  • ensure thorough and detailed communication of any/all dietary restrictions/allergies
  • deliver professional, courteous, and efficient service to guests
  • present guests with check and settle payment in a timely and professional manner
  • ensure accurate processing of cash payments
  • responsible for completing all station set-up, breakdown, and cleaning duties
  • maintain knowledge of restaurant happenings, including menu updates, operational guidelines, service hours, special offerings
  • support all team members to ensure guests receive high quality service
  • provide notes and insights if guests have special requests
  • assist team by clearing/cleaning/pre-setting tables for next party
  • ensure hospitable experience for all guests
  • protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies
  • understand and assist with execution of responsible alcohol service
  • follow, adhere, and practice the Safety and Sanitation standards set forth by the Food & Beverage Department including but not limited to social distancing, use of face mask/covering when in common areas, presence of guests, and where Social Distancing is not possible
  • use of gloves when handling guest food or beverage
  • cleaning and sanitizing high contact surfaces that are frequently used by guests and fellow employees
  • frequent handwashing, regardless of use of gloves
  • other tasks as assigned by supervisors and/or managers
