As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our guests' experiences by preparing and serving beverages accurately and efficiently, upholding our high standards for beverage quality, safety, and guest satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests promptly, taking and processing food and drink orders, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean and welcoming bar area. You must be knowledgeable about our menu offerings and capable of answering guests' questions with confidence and friendliness.
The position demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes high-stress environment. Physical stamina is necessary as the job requires standing for the entirety of the shift, lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds, and performing various physical activities like bending, stooping, and cleaning. Additionally, successful candidates must obtain or possess necessary certifications such as Food Handlers and Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Responsible Beverage Service (RBS). Working hours may include day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts, offering flexibility and variety.

Job Requirements
- Must have prior restaurant experience
- Be a team player
- Work hard to maintain and promote a positive work environment
- Available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Have the ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with many distractions
- Have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Have the ability to move around the facility and walk or stand 100% of the shift
- Have the ability to reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and clean frequently
- Have or obtain Food Handlers certification
- Have or obtain ABC RBS certification
- Must be 21 years of age or above

Job Duties
- Be the best and build regulars by ensuring exceptional guest experiences
- Greet new guests promptly and in a friendly manner
- Maintain company standards for alcohol awareness and responsible service
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Maintain working knowledge of Poppy Bank Epicenter's food and beverage menus to answer guest questions
- Ring in orders and process payments accurately, being responsible for sales entered on the drawer
- Actively control costs by avoiding waste and following drink recipes
- Monitor guest experience by checking back after food delivery, maintaining drink levels, and pre-bussing plates and glasses
- Participate in and promote company initiatives and promotions
- Maintain accurate inventory and communicate needs or shortages
- Provide excellent guest service in a friendly, positive, efficient, and enthusiastic manner
- Maintain dress code and present a neat, clean, professional appearance while on shift
- Always greet guests with a smile and positive attitude
- Obtain and use Food Handlers Certificate knowledge in daily procedures
- Obtain and comply with Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
- Use chemicals properly and adhere to safety standards
- Safely and correctly use all equipment
- Store all beverages and equipment properly and safely
- Ensure guests leave happy, enlisting help from team members, supervisors, or managers when needed
- Prepare and present beverages that meet quality and guest satisfaction standards according to recipes
- Maintain station cleanliness and sanitation
- Uphold safety and cleanliness standards for the bar area including walls, drains, and floors
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Comply with all Health Department Policies
- Uphold company culture and standards
- Identify potential problems and communicate with supervisors and management to prevent guest experience issues
- Maintain proper stock of supplies
- Perform physical duties including grasping, lifting, reaching, crouching, standing, walking, and carrying for extended periods
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Follow uniform requirements, including black pants and nonslip black shoes
- Perform other duties as directed.
