Job Description

The hiring establishment is a vibrant casino resort known for combining luxury with exceptional entertainment and dining experiences. The resort operates several high-volume and sophisticated dining and beverage outlets designed to offer guests an unforgettable experience. Within its bustling casino environment, the resort emphasizes a fun yet professional atmosphere where patrons can enjoy gaming alongside world-class food and drink services. The casino prides itself on maintaining high standards of customer service and safety, particularly around alcohol consumption, ensuring all guests have a pleasant and safe visit. It seeks hospitality professionals who can perform under pressure while maintaining a focus on friendliness, accuracy, and speed. This is an exciting opportunity for a bartender to join a dynamic team in a thriving, guest-focused environment. The role typically involves working evenings, weekends, holidays, and some overtime, reflecting the needs of the hospitality industry. While no salary specifics are provided, the position offers competitive wages aligned with similar roles in upscale hospitality venues.

The bartender role at this casino resort is central to delivering a truly excellent guest experience. Bartenders are not only responsible for crafting beverages but also for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages return visits and repeat business. Candidates must be knowledgeable about a wide range of menu items, drink recipes, ingredients, and garnishes. Having expertise in classic, traditional, and contemporary drinks alongside moderate knowledge of wine, ports, cordials, and spirits is expected. Upselling beverages, appetizers, and desserts is a valued skill to maximize sales. Bartenders must be attentive to guests from the moment they are seated, taking drink orders promptly and accurately entering them into a point-of-sale system. Delivery times are important, with beverages expected to reach customers within three minutes of being made, followed by timely check-ins on guest satisfaction.

The role demands teamwork and coordination with bar backs and other staff to maintain cleanliness, stock levels, and equipment readiness. Bartenders must operate cash registers according to strict procedures to ensure financial accuracy and maintain the integrity of cash and sales transactions. Safety and compliance with gaming regulations, company policies, and alcohol service standards are paramount. Recognizing intoxication signs and following safe alcoholic service practices are crucial responsibilities to protect the wellbeing of guests and the reputation of the establishment.

Physical demands include the ability to lift heavy items, operate in a high-paced environment with noise and second-hand smoke, and maintain a professional appearance. Flexibility and willingness to work in various beverage departments within the resort are essential. The resort values employees who can provide personalized service by remembering guests’ names and preferences and are knowledgeable about the casino's current events and activities. Bartenders play an important role in encouraging responsible drinking, ensuring all interactions conform to safety guidelines, and communicating effectively with management about any issues.

Overall, this bartender position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a lively hospitality setting, excel in guest interaction, and uphold high service and safety standards. It offers the chance to work in a prestigious resort where every day brings new opportunities to engage with diverse guests while contributing to the resort's success and positive guest experiences.
