Job Description

Our establishment is a vibrant, family-run restaurant known for its authentic flavors and welcoming atmosphere. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional culinary experiences that blend tradition with innovation. Nestled in a thriving neighborhood, our restaurant has built a reputation for quality service and a warm, community-focused environment. We are committed to fostering a positive work culture that values growth, creativity, and collaboration among our team members. With our sister restaurant, Gallo Blanco Café, we offer unique opportunities for cross-training and professional development in the hospitality industry.

As a bartender at our restaurant, you will play a crucial role in crafting delicious, well-balanced cocktails that delight our guests and complement our menu. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys mixing new and innovative drinks, enhancing flavor profiles, and expertly pairing beverages with food items. You will be responsible for creating consistent cocktail recipes while adapting to guest preferences to ensure memorable experiences. Engaging with patrons in a welcoming, personable manner and exceeding their expectations will be key to your success in this role.

In addition to crafting beverages, you will efficiently manage the bar during all shifts, including setup, breakdown, and maintaining organization. Your responsibilities will also include handling cash and POS transactions accurately, monitoring inventory levels, and adhering strictly to alcohol service laws and company policies. Ensuring safety and promoting responsible consumption are top priorities, along with maintaining a clean and organized bar environment. Collaboration with kitchen and floor staff will be essential to support smooth service and contribute to the overall guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of bartending experience in a fast-casual or full-service setting, a solid understanding of classic cocktails, wine, and beer service, and excellent multitasking and communication skills. Valid alcohol service certification and the ability to verify legal drinking age are required. Availability for nights, weekends, and some holidays is necessary to meet the demands of the restaurant. Preferred qualifications include experience with craft cocktail programs, familiarity with Mexico City–style flavors, basic Spanish language skills, food safety certification, and supervisory or training experience.

We offer a competitive hourly wage plus tips and regular tip pooling, along with employee meal discounts and complimentary or discounted staff meals during shifts. Our flexible scheduling with advanced shift planning supports a healthy work-life balance, and we provide paid training and opportunities to participate in seasonal menu and cocktail development. Joining our team means being part of a positive, family-run culture with mentorship from experienced hospitality leaders and a commitment to your professional growth and success.
