Job Description
Presbyterian Living is a distinguished independent, not-for-profit senior living organization that has been providing exceptional care and services since 1904. With a strong presence in Evanston, Lake Forest, and Arlington Heights, our communities offer a full continuum of care including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. We are dedicated to fostering a compassionate, mission-driven environment where residents, families, and employees alike feel supported, valued, and inspired. Our commitment to quality care and community well-being sets us apart as a leader in senior living, emphasizing respect, dignity, and meaningful connections.
The Moorings of Arlington Heights, part of Presbyterian Living, is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Bartender to join our Dining Department on a part-time basis. The position operates from 3 pm to 9 pm, five days a week, delivering a truly personalized beverage and dining experience for our residents and guests. As a Bartender at The Moorings, you will be an integral part of a team that values collaboration, compassion, and shared expertise. This role is essential in creating a positive, uplifting atmosphere where residents can enjoy their drinks and appetizers in welcoming spaces like the Bistro and Nevins Pub.
Our team prides itself on working together to enhance the wellness, independence, joy, and security of those we serve. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a supportive, people-centered culture recognized as a Great Place to Work®, highlighting our commitment to inclusivity and employee engagement. You will be responsible for setting up the bar area, preparing and serving beverages and appetizers, accurately handling charges, and maintaining cleanliness throughout your shift. With an emphasis on excellent service and attention to detail, you will contribute directly to the comfort and satisfaction of our residents.
In addition to a rewarding work environment, The Moorings offers comprehensive benefits supporting health and wellness, financial security, peace of mind, and professional growth. Our benefit programs include options like Wellhub and onsite fitness, PTO rollover and sell-back, a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match, commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, tuition reimbursement, scholarships, mentorship, and career pathways. We also promote community engagement and offer 24/7 chaplain counseling for emotional and spiritual support, fostering a holistic approach to well-being for all team members.
Joining The Moorings means becoming part of a family-like team that values meaningful connections and inspires its members every day. If you are passionate about helping others, eager to grow professionally, and ready to make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply. Experience a workplace where you can bring your strengths and best self, contributing not just as an employee but as a valued member of a community devoted to care and respect.
