Job Requirements
- Possession of a valid California Driver's License
- Ability to talk, hear, see, and use hands to finger, grasp, feel, reach
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for up to 4 hours and perform repetitive motions for up to 2 hours
- Ability to kneel, pull, push, and stoop occasionally
- Regular attendance required
- Ability to work onsite in a climate-controlled indoor facility
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Work experience as a bartender or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions in bartending
- Knowledge of State liquor control laws
- Knowledge of ingredients and proper proportions of popular mixed drinks
- Familiarity with division and department rules, procedures, and functions
- Ability to relate to the needs and concerns of senior citizens
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to handle public relations problems courteously and tactfully
Job Duties
- Be on duty well in advance of guest arrival time with all necessary supplies set up to run the bar
- Mix drinks according to guest drink tickets purchased from Bar Cashier
- Balance cash register and submit paperwork to Recreation Accounts Coordinator after events requiring only a Bartender
- Drive a vehicle to meetings, workshops, and other job-related responsibilities
- Maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, customers, and others by sharing ideas constructively and positively
- Assist in closing the bar, taking inventory, and returning supplies to the liquor locker
- Address problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions
