Tiny Boxwoods Productions is a renowned restaurant group celebrated for its exceptional food, service, and welcoming atmosphere. Operating in Houston and Austin, Tiny Boxwoods has distinguished itself with one of the best coffee programs in the region alongside a growing and well-curated spirits and wine selection. The company is deeply committed to creating a positive work culture, emphasizing the importance of nurturing its employees, offering ample opportunities for professional growth, and fostering an environment where team members feel like part of a family. This commitment to culture is a cornerstone of Tiny Boxwoods' success and is reflected in their high standards for both employees and guest experiences. This role is a full-time Bartender position offering competitive wages, with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance after completion of 60 days of full-time work (minimum 30 hours per week). Additionally, after one year of continuous full-time employment, employees receive two weeks of paid vacation at their regular rate of pay.
The Bartender at Tiny Boxwoods plays an integral role in upholding the restaurant's culture and delivering an outstanding guest experience. Focused on genuine hospitality, the Bartender provides friendly, authentic, and enthusiastic service that consistently exceeds guest expectations. The position involves more than just mixing drinks; it requires a passion for food, coffee, wine, and spirits and the ability to engage with guests socially in a warm and polite manner. Bartenders are responsible for mastering the food and beverage menus, preparing the bar and lounge areas for all service periods, and ensuring all guests are well cared for throughout their visit. Additionally, the Bartender must skillfully operate and maintain espresso machines, utilize point-of-sale systems efficiently, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the bar area. The role demands an eye for detail, adherence to safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies, and a commitment to professional appearance and conduct according to the company’s dress code and policies. The Bartender is expected to contribute actively to the team, assist in side work duties from opening to closing, and serve alcohol responsibly while providing top-notch full-service guest care. Working at Tiny Boxwoods offers a dynamic and engaging environment where the Bartender not only serves drinks but also helps create memorable experiences for guests in beautiful, inviting spaces. This position requires physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and attention to safety in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
