Job Requirements
- One year of experience in positions involving cocktail beverage presentation, customer service, or serving
- Must have or the ability to obtain an Alaska Food Handler's Card
- Must have a valid alcohol safety card for the State of Alaska
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Minimum age of 18 years required to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in the use of computerized point of sales (POS) systems
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and maintain attention to time constraints while working in a team or group environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards
- Ability to stand, walk, work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of entry-level to moderately complex food and beverage preparation tasks, a large portion of tasks revolve around the preparation of cocktails for guests on board
- Regular entry of retail, food, and beverage items into the point of sales (POS) system
- Take orders and deliver them to guests on board the train
- Process guest payments and prepare reports needed for accounting personnel
- Answer customer, employee, and management queries, while upholding our high service standards
- Work closely with Dome partner to fill in as needed with narration and/or information on retail items
