Job Requirements
- Basic knowledge of beer, wine and spirits
- minimum of 1 year experience in bartending
- strong verbal communication skills
- energetic and flexible self-starter
- ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- able to work under pressure and multitask
- ability to be on feet for extended periods
- able to lift up to 40lbs
- ability to follow directions and work well in a team
- certifications in food safety and alcohol training preferred
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of beer, wine and spirits and standard drink recipes required
- minimum of 1 year of experience in a bartender position preferred
- strong verbal communication and listening skills
- self-starter who is energetic and flexible
- certifications for food safety and alcohol training certificate preferred
- able to work under pressure, multi-task, follow directions, and work with a team
- can thrive in a fast-paced environment
- friendly, outgoing, and a team player
- ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- ability to be on your feet and active for 8 or more hours, climb stairs, lift up to 40lbs, and use basic cleaning equipment
Job Duties
- Greet and engage with all guests in a friendly, positive manner
- set-up, maintain and operate the bar
- maintain safe, secure and sanitary bar area and equipment
- adhere to standardized recipes and department rules and procedures
- prepare garnishes to ensure freshness and quality, set up mixers, and pre-mixed drinks
- follow opening, closing and cleaning checklists on a daily basis
- ensure all guests have proper ID, are over 21 years of age, and that drinks are not served to intoxicated patrons
- mix, prepare, and serve drinks according to recipes
- clean and close down the bar at the end of the night according to procedures
- stock glasses, liquors, beers, and wines
- other duties as assigned by management
