Job Description
Atlas Restaurant Group is a vibrant and rapidly expanding hospitality company based in Baltimore, known for its dynamic array of dining establishments and commitment to exceptional customer service. The company prides itself on fostering a work environment that encourages professional growth, inclusivity, and community engagement. With a strong reputation for quality and innovation in the restaurant industry, Atlas Restaurant Group presents a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about food, beverage, and creating memorable guest experiences.
The Bartender role at Atlas Restaurant Group offers an exciting chance for professionals to engage directly with guests, provide superior service, and contribute to a lively and welcoming atmosphere. This position involves greeting customers, learning about their drink and food preferences, answering questions, and recommending menu items to enhance their overall dining experience. Beyond the traditional duties of preparing and serving beverages and food, the bartender is also responsible for upselling menu items, creating new recipes, utilizing proper equipment and ingredients, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. This role requires a blend of interpersonal skills, technical knowledge in drink mixing and beverage preparation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
The position is available for both full-time and part-time employment, with pay varying by state, inclusive of hourly wages plus tips, which reflects the local minimum wages for tipped employees. For instance, in Maryland, the hourly wage ranges from $3.63 to $10.00, while in other states like Pennsylvania and Texas, the starting hourly wages are lower but supplemented by tips. Full-time employees working more than 30 hours a week are offered an attractive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k contributions, fully company-paid life and AD&D insurance, learning and development programs, mobility and advancement opportunities, pet insurance, and a 25% discount at Atlas properties. Part-time employees enjoy many of these benefits as well, such as 401k contributions, life and AD&D insurance, learning and development programs, advancement opportunities, and property discounts.
This role demands a high degree of dependability, flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills. The ideal candidate must meet the minimum legal age to serve alcohol and have at least one to two years of experience in bartending, along with a high school diploma or its equivalent. Required physical abilities include standing, walking, bending for extended periods, and lifting up to 30 pounds, which ensures active participation in all aspects of the job. Emotional composure and professionalism are also critical, as bartenders must manage potentially challenging guest interactions with calmness and respect.
Joining Atlas Restaurant Group as a Bartender means becoming part of a supportive and innovative team, where every employee's contributions are valued and career growth is actively encouraged. You'll have direct access to senior management and company leadership, helping you to develop your skills and advance your career within a supportive community-oriented company. This role not only offers competitive compensation and benefits but also provides a rewarding work environment for those passionate about hospitality and crafting exceptional customer experiences.
