The Bartender position at W Hotels is more than just mixing drinks; it is about crafting extraordinary guest experiences that are both unique and memorable. Bartenders are vital to the ambiance and reputation of the hotel, going beyond the bar to serve as hosts and ambassadors of the brand. They stay on top of the latest trends in beverages, including micro-local offerings, and continuously adapt to guests’ evolving needs. The role requires a high level of expertise, attention to detail, and passion for guest service. Bartenders take responsibility for the bar’s appearance and function, ensuring it operates flawlessly while managing monetary transactions accurately and providing insightful information about drinks to guests.

As owners of the guest experience, bartenders build relationships with colleagues across the hotel and within the local community to anticipate guest needs effectively. Physical stamina is important for this role as bartenders are on their feet for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as moving and lifting objects up to 25 pounds. The role also demands strict adherence to company policies, safety protocols, asset protection, and confidentiality. Professional appearance and uniform standards are also critical to maintaining the brand’s image.

This position is suitable for individuals with at least one year of related work experience and a minimum education level of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. There is no supervisory responsibility associated with this role, and no specific licenses or certifications are required. Marriott International is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, valuing the diverse backgrounds of employees and providing equal access to opportunities.
