Job Description
The Ned NoMad is a distinguished members' club and hotel located in the vibrant heart of New York City. As the first international branch of The Ned, which originally debuted in London in 2017, The Ned NoMad opened its doors in the summer of 2022. Situated in the historic Johnston Building, once known as the NoMad Hotel, this establishment exudes a unique blend of classic heritage and modern sophistication. The building itself dates back to 1903 and has been thoughtfully redesigned by the Soho House Design team to maintain its original charm while incorporating contemporary style elements. The Ned NoMad offers an eclectic collection of spaces that attract a diverse crowd of members and guests alike. These include 167 elegantly decorated bedrooms and suites, multiple bars including a buzzing rooftop bar and terrace restaurant, a first-floor bar, restaurant, lounge areas, and nightly live entertainment that cultivates a lively atmosphere.
This is a part-time bartender position offered at an hourly wage of $17.00. The role is essential in upholding the high standards of service that The Ned NoMad is known for and ensuring every guest experience is exceptional. Bartenders at The Ned NoMad are expected to seamlessly balance efficiency, flair, and independence within a fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the food and beverage managers, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of the bar, contributing to a vibrant culture that values collaboration and outstanding customer service. The Ned NoMad's culture emphasizes energetic teamwork, effective communication, and a commitment to quality, making the bartender's role not only about drink preparation but also about creating memorable guest interactions.
In addition to crafting exquisite cocktails and serving food-forward dishes, the bartender will be involved in managing the bar section, maintaining health and safety compliance, supporting recruiting and training efforts, and ensuring operational excellence through cross-departmental cooperation. This role is designed for individuals who are customer-oriented, sales-minded, and possess a strong attention to detail. The bartender will oversee bar section operations from opening to closing, including managing inventory, product rotation, and facilitating an overall pleasant environment for colleagues and guests. With opportunities for growth, flexible work schedules, and robust benefits, joining The Ned NoMad as a bartender offers a unique and rewarding career path in the hospitality industry.
