The position available is for a part-time Bartender, a critical role within the Food & Beverage division under the supervision of the Director of Food & Beverage and the Food & Beverage Manager. This role demands a high level of customer interaction and service excellence. The bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with ASM Global's policies and Louisiana State Alcohol regulations. The position requires the physical ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting and organizing bar supplies. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to pass a background check including a credit history report
  • Must be able to obtain ABO Card and LATC Permit
  • Non-slip shoes required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work flexible schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must be able to obtain ABO Card and LATC Permit
  • At least one year experience as a bartender in banquet facilities, convention centers or arenas preferred
  • Experience with upscale dining preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in high-volume restaurant, theatre or banquet facility preferred
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of popular mixed drink recipes
  • Mature judgment and professionalism
  • Ability to understand directives and utilize basic math skills
  • Ability to operate cash register and credit card machine

Job Duties

  • Provide total guest satisfaction through skilled and capable service in accordance with venue standards
  • Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks following standard recipes
  • Serve wine and draught or bottled beer
  • Collect money for drinks served
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area
  • Verify inventory counts and check bar supplies to ensure bar is stocked
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements
  • Input sales using POS system and handle payments accurately
  • Monitor and restock bar inventory to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain inventory sheets and related paperwork
  • Balance cash receipts at conclusion of events
  • Break down bar and store supplies at end of function
  • Maintain professional appearance and work area cleanliness
  • Comply with Louisiana State alcohol standards and company policies
