Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned restaurant chain specializing in seafood, with a rich history rooted in family ownership and a passion for delivering a unique dining experience centered around fresh seafood and coastal flavors. Established over fifty years ago, Red Lobster has grown significantly to encompass more than 500 locations, each acting as an extension of the founders' original vision. The company prides itself on fostering a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy their favorite meals and create memorable moments, emphasizing community involvement and a familial dining experience. Employees and customers alike are valued members of this extended family, where genuine connections and hospitality lie at the core of every interaction.
As a bartender at Red Lobster, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by providing exceptional service at the bar. This position offers weekly pay and competitive salaries, along with flexible scheduling to accommodate various lifestyles and commitments. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions after one year of service. Employees also enjoy anniversary pay (subject to eligibility), discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as guests. Moreover, Red Lobster actively invests in employee development by offering extensive training and career advancement opportunities, allowing staff members to grow and progress within the company.
The bartender's responsibilities extend beyond mixing drinks to include welcoming guests warmly, preparing the bar stations before opening, maintaining adequate supplies, and ensuring the bar area meets high standards of cleanliness and organization. Bartenders suggest beverages, snacks, and desserts, craft drinks accurately following recipes and presentation standards, accurately record food and drink orders into the POS system, and ensure timely delivery and clear communication with guests. Maintaining safety and sanitation guidelines is a critical part of this role, as is ensuring customers feel well cared for by offering refills and efficiently managing billing. This position requires stamina to stand for extended periods, the physical ability to bend, reach, squat, and safely lift up to 30 pounds, and the capability to work closely within a team environment, exhibiting attention to detail and multitasking skills. There are reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
Joining Red Lobster means being part of a company looking forward to great plans on the horizon, committed to building an inclusive and respectful workplace. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and seafood, seeking a welcoming environment with stability and career growth potential. Red Lobster is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to supporting diversity and providing a workplace free from discrimination of any kind. There is no better time than now to join the Red Lobster family and be part of an exciting future.
