Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- must be able to obtain all required work cards including health and alcohol awareness cards
- cash handling experience
- ability to stand for long periods
- physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- effective communication skills in English
- ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- follow safety policies and departmental procedures
- comply with Nevada Health Department standards
- maintain good personal grooming and uniform standards
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain all required work cards for the position including health and alcohol awareness cards
- cash handling experience in a tavern or bar environment
- extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, beverages, cordials and after dinner drinks
- thorough knowledge of drink recipes and garnishments
- knowledge of point of sale system operation
- ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- ability to make quick judgement decisions
- capable of working a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
- good verbal communication skills
- knowledge of company and departmental beverage policies
Job Duties
- Serve beverages to guests and beverage servers in a friendly positive manner
- maintain a clean and attractive environment according to all company policies and standards
- conduct oneself professionally and reflect a positive image
- comply with Nevada Health Department standards
- keep work cards on person during shifts and serve alcohol responsibly
- inform supervisor of product shortages and equipment needs
- know the location of the SDS booklet and handle cleaning chemicals safely
- manage cash transactions and gaming duties including slot bank and cashing out winnings
- maintain A grade health standards daily
- stock bar for next shift and comply with closing procedures
- be familiar with all menu and beverage items, recipes, and drink preparations
- promote a safe environment and encourage safety practices among team members
- handle cocktail call procedures efficiently
- provide accurate change and follow check cashing and credit card advance procedures
- work within restaurant areas as needed and answer guest questions about menu items
