Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
- must have good vision and be able to distinguish shapes and colors
- must be able to communicate clearly
- able to handle exposure to heat, cold, steam, and smoke
- able to reach heights up to 6 feet and depths of 2.5 to 3 feet
- high level of mobility and flexibility
- strong time management skills
- able to read, write and perform basic arithmetic
- ability to control fingers to operate equipment and perform tasks
- must fit through 30 inch wide openings
- ability to work under stress during busy times
- capable of bending, reaching, and carrying trays up to 50 pounds
- able to lift up to 50 pounds
- capable of exposure to cleaning chemicals
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- no prior experience required
- basic bar knowledge preferred
- strong communication skills
- ability to work under pressure and irregular hours
- ability to perform addition and subtraction
- good personal hygiene and grooming
- ability to learn and memorize menu items
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to work well in a team environment
- ability to follow company policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Reports to work well-groomed in proper uniform and practices good personal hygiene
- welcomes guests immediately upon seating with a non-scripted greeting
- offers menu suggestions and answers questions using acquired knowledge
- practices responsible beverage service and verifies guest age
- takes drink and food orders
- serves high quality food ensuring orders are complete and attractive
- attends to additional guest needs and requests
- maintains bar top and pre-bussing
- learns names of regular guests
- practices silent service
- answers phone and processes to-go orders
- maintains cleanliness of station and pantry
- performs side work during downtime including rolling silverware and restocking
- executes service cycle and ensures 100 percent guest satisfaction
- communicates with Manager on Duty and coworkers about service issues and safety problems
- prepares and serves beverages following recipes and standards
- enters orders and operates POS equipment
- processes guest payments efficiently
- anticipates and resolves system breakdowns
- maintains bank balance and funds accountability
- maintains bar top and common areas
- restocks bar and prepares drink mixes and garnishes
- assembles and monitors bar dishwasher and chemical levels
- washes and sterilizes glassware
- stocks bar items
- cleans and maintains bar equipment
- requisitions liquor and supplies
- maintains cleanliness of the bar area
