Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- valid food handler’s permit
- Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission certification
- knowledge of state liquor laws
- ability to focus with attention to detail
- neat and clean appearance
- reliable attendance
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- professional and respectful attitude
- high school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- must have and maintain a food handler’s permit and certification through the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission
- must remain knowledgeable of all applicable laws governing the sale of alcoholic beverages
- attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and tolerating frequent interruptions
- must present a neat and clean personal appearance
- must have timely, reliable attendance
- must have a professional, courteous and respectful attitude toward members, guests, vendors, co-workers and supervisors
- high school education or equivalent is required
Job Duties
- Determines to whom alcoholic beverages will be served
- reports inventory levels to the Beverage Manager
- reports all member or guest complaints to management to ensure member satisfaction
- protects the organization, members and guests by utilizing proper procedures in serving alcoholic beverages including verifying legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated customers
- performs daily inspection of inventory and supplies
- requests additional supplies as necessary
- maintains records of liquors, beers, wine and sundries to ensure bar stock is maintained at all times
- greets guests and creates a positive atmosphere
- follows all set-up and closing procedures to maintain clean, sanitary equipment and secure all liquor storage and club doors
- mixes, prepares, garnishes, and serves drinks according to approved recipes
- rings up drinks in the POS system
- does nightly requisition for the opening bartender
- uses Accubar devices for requisitions and monthly inventories
- presents specials and suggests menu items
- takes orders and enters them in the POS computer system in a timely manner
- turns orders into the kitchen and informs about special cooking instructions
- works banquet events for party bars including set up, work, break down and inventory
