Job Description
Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux is a vibrant and dynamic restaurant brand rooted deeply in the spirit of Louisiana hospitality and gameday excitement. Established by two LSU walk-on basketball players from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the company embodies the true underdog spirit. Starting as a modest single restaurant fueled by hard work, dedication, and teamwork, Walk-On's has grown into a nationally recognized establishment known for its scratch-made dishes and iconic Louisiana flavors. The brand's culture is built on energy, passion, and a commitment to creating memorable, high-energy gameday experiences for every guest. Walk-On's offers a fun, welcoming atmosphere with wall-to-wall TVs that bring the thrill of sports directly to its guests, making it a favorite destination for sports fans and families alike.
At Walk-On's, the bar staff plays a pivotal role as the face of the gameday atmosphere. The Bartender position is a part-time, non-exempt role reporting directly to the Manager on Duty. Bartenders here not only craft cocktails and pour cold beers but also serve as the energy hub behind the bar, engaging with guests and ensuring every visit is memorable. With a focus on responsible alcohol service, bartenders verify IDs, adhere to all alcohol laws, and foster a safe environment. The role requires a friendly, outgoing individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting and values team spirit. Beyond mixing drinks, bartenders contribute to stock management, cleanliness, and supporting teammates on the floor to maintain smooth operations. This role demands strong communication skills, physical stamina for long shifts, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality who desire flexible scheduling options that accommodate students and those with other commitments.
Walk-On's culture emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and growth. Employees are viewed as vital members of a championship team, supported in their professional development with opportunities to advance from bartenders to leadership roles. The company's commitment to inclusivity and diversity fosters a supportive environment where every team member is encouraged to bring their best self to work. This is more than a job; it's a chance to belong to a community where energy meets opportunity and where every shift contributes to a shared legacy of hospitality and hard work. Bartenders at Walk-On's not only serve drinks but also create connections, build regular customer relationships, and support the vision of delivering unforgettable guest experiences with a genuine Louisiana flair. Join Walk-On's and become part of a spirited team that celebrates victories both on and off the floor.
