Job Description

Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. As a prominent hotel company, Marriott boasts a diverse portfolio of brands ranging from luxury to full-service and limited-service hotels worldwide. One of its distinguished brands, JW Marriott, represents the epitome of luxury hospitality with over 100 properties located in prime cities and resort destinations around the globe. JW Marriott emphasizes the importance of employee well-being, professional growth, and a culture that encourages innovation, authenticity, and genuine guest service, often referred to as The JW Treatment™.

The Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, located at 700 Aliceanna Street in Baltimore, Maryland, is part of Marriott International’s vast network of hotels. It is a vibrant venue offering scenic views and state-of-the-art amenities, serving an array of guests ranging from business travelers to leisure tourists. The hotel values diversity among its associates and strives to create an atmosphere where all team members feel welcomed and empowered to perform at their best.

We are currently seeking a part-time Bartender to join our Food and Beverage team at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront. This non-management role offers an hourly wage of $13.06, with additional tip earnings, and provides an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about mixology and delivering stellar guest experiences. Training is provided along with paid time off, and weekend availability is preferred to meet guest demand.

In this role, you will be the face of the bar, crafting delightful cocktails inspired by seasonal ingredients. You will create an inviting and engaging atmosphere that encourages guests to unwind and enjoy their visit. Your storytelling ability and outgoing personality will be key assets, helping you build rapport and make memorable connections with customers. Responsibilities include welcoming guests warmly, serving and opening wine and champagne, maintaining bar cleanliness and inventory, preparing drink garnishes, and processing payments accurately. You will also be responsible for completing cashier reports and adhering to professional appearance standards, including wearing a clean uniform.

This position requires the ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds and to stand or walk for extended periods. Before beginning employment, you will undergo safety training and certification to ensure a safe working environment. Marriott International is committed to equal opportunity, celebrating diversity, and promoting an inclusive work culture where every employee feels valued and respected.

As part of the Marriott family, you will enjoy various benefits including hotel room discounts, dining and retail discounts, learning and development opportunities, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and a supportive management team. Whether you are looking to grow your skills in mixology or advance your career within the hospitality industry, this position offers a rewarding experience with a global leader in luxury hospitality.

Joining JW Marriott means becoming part of a dynamic global team that values innovation, confidence, and genuine guest service. Here, you will not only perform your best work but also align with a purpose-driven career path. The diverse work environment fosters true camaraderie and gives you the chance to unlock your full potential, making it an ideal place for anyone passionate about the art of hospitality and beverage creation.
