The position of Bartender/Mixologist involves serving beverages and food in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. The role requires an individual capable of maintaining cleanliness and organization in bar areas, preparing and serving drinks and food, handling guest payment processes, and observing age requirements rigorously. Responsibilities extend to managing intoxicated guests with the company’s standards, monitoring beverage inventory, and promoting sustainability practices aligned with the company’s EarthView program.
Bartenders also play a critical role in guest satisfaction scores, contributing directly to the overall positive experience and success of the establishment. Employees are expected to practice safe work habits, follow OSHA standards, and be proactive in side work completion and daily beverage requisitions. The work context highlights varying schedules including holidays, weekends, and shift rotations, underscoring the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry. The physical demands involve extended standing, walking, lifting, and reaching, which suits energetic and physically capable individuals.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- previous bartending or mixologist experience required or equivalent training
- TIPS certification a plus
- Food Sanitation certificate required within 90 days of employment
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to walk, push, lift up to 25 pounds, bend and reach with arms
- availability to work holidays, weekends and different shifts
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Maintain clean and organize bar areas
- slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- prepare and serve drink and/or food orders
- if applicable, take orders, and serve and clear food and beverage to guests seated at tables in bar and lounge areas
- issue guest check and complete payment process
- follow standards for identifying and managing intoxicated guests
- complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels as needed
- complete required side work prior to shift end
- be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
- assist with taking beverage inventory
- follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
- practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
- ensure overall guest satisfaction
- perform other duties as requested by management
