Job Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or bar is preferred
  • Up to date certifications required by state regulations
  • Strong knowledge of drink preparation, mixology, and wine/beer selections
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest hospitality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol per state regulation

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guest according to Mesero's recipes and service standards
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, taking orders, offering drink recommendations, and engaging in conversation to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
  • Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout each shift
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local alcohol service regulations, including checking guest identification and managing guest consumption responsibly
  • Efficiently use a point-of-sale (POS) system to ring in orders, process payments, and make change
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items, including both drinks and food, and be able to assist guests with questions or suggestions
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints in a professional manner and escalate issues to management when necessary
