Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- knowledge of alcoholic beverage service and preparation
- basic math skills for cash handling
- manual dexterity for drink preparation and stock handling
- ability to work standing for long periods
- flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- hotel experience preferred
- must communicate well with guests
- must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- basic mathematical skills necessary to operate cash register, make change, total guest checks, count bank, prepare cash drops
- sufficient manual dexterity to use knife for garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, retrieve stock
- ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
- ability to operate keyboard and point of sale procedures
- ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to adapt communication style for different audiences
Job Duties
- maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis
- requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on daily projections
- maintains stock, cuts, and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
- greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks
- mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard recipes and controls portions
- abides by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- inputs orders into register, creates checks, receives cash, makes change, verifies charges, records charges, ensures vouchers are executed
- locks and stores all beverage, food and equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank
- complies with attendance rules and is available to work regularly
- performs any other job-related duties as assigned
