Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established restaurant company with a rich history that began over fifty years ago with a family-owned restaurant and a vision to offer something special: a connection to seafood and the coast. Today, Red Lobster operates more than 500 restaurants, each seat in their establishments representing a continuation of that founding passion. The company values more than just serving food and providing employment; it aims to be an integral part of the communities it serves. Employees and customers alike are welcomed as part of a large family where new friends quickly become familiar faces. This dedication to community and quality have made Red Lobster a beloved dining destination for special moments and favorite meals.
Red Lobster is currently hiring for the position of Bartender, offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.90 to $25.00 per hour. This role offers weekly pay and flexible schedules to accommodate different lifestyles and needs. In addition to salary, employees benefit from affordable health, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. After one year of service, employees may participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions. Additional perks include anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount for dining as a guest. Red Lobster commits to training and career advancement opportunities, fostering an environment where employees can grow and succeed.
As a Bartender at Red Lobster, you will play a crucial role in creating positive dining experiences. Your primary responsibility will be welcoming customers with a warm smile and friendly attitude as they are seated. You will prepare the bar by setting up pouring stations and glassware ahead of opening and ensuring the station remains stocked throughout the shift with beverages, mixers, and garnishes as needed. Suggestive selling is encouraged, offering drinks, appetizers, and desserts to enhance the customer experience.
You will need to craft all beverages according to company standards using proper recipes, glassware, and garnishes to maintain quality and consistency. Accurate order taking is essential, including inputting both food and drink orders into the POS system. Attentiveness to customer needs, offering refills, and clearing away unused items will help ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit. Timely delivery and settlement of bills, along with expressing gratitude and inviting customers to return, rounds out your client service duties. Compliance with all food safety regulations is mandatory. Physical demands include the ability to bend, reach, crouch, and safely lift up to 30 pounds, as well as standing for long periods during shifts that range from 8 to 12 hours. Cooperation and attention to detail in a team setting are key components of success in this role.
Red Lobster is excited about the future and invites motivated individuals to join their family. The company proudly offers an equal employment opportunity workplace and values a welcoming, inclusive environment for all employees regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. If you want to be part of a company that values its employees and provides opportunities for both personal and professional growth, this is your chance to start a rewarding career as a Bartender at Red Lobster.
