The role of a Bartender at Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar is crucial to the overall front-of-house operation. A Bartender is expected to be proficient in managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. This position goes beyond just mixing drinks; it involves creating an inviting atmosphere by being outgoing, friendly, and courteous, thus enhancing the guest's dining experience. Bartenders at Twigs oversee the preparation and accurate serving of alcoholic beverages while strictly adhering to all applicable state liquor laws and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of patrons and staff. They also play an active role in maintaining inventory control of liquor, beer, and wine and support other front-of-house duties such as assisting hosts and bussers when needed.

Job Requirements

  • High school education preferred
  • Minimum one year full service restaurant experience
  • Ability to obtain required licenses or certificates
  • Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Regular attendance as per company standards
  • Ability to work varying schedules as required by business needs
  • Compliance with all restaurant rules and regulations
  • Adherence to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies

Job Qualifications

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • High school education preferred
  • Minimum one year full service restaurant experience required
  • Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates such as local health department certification and state liquor control board certificate
  • CPR certification and/or first aid training preferred
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menu
  • Ability to handle guest special requests and dietary needs

  • Maintain table settings by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling beverages
  • Conclude dining experience by thanking guests and inviting them to return
  • Deliver bills accurately and process payments
  • Interact positively with staff and guests to achieve 100% guest satisfaction
  • Possess knowledge of the menu to assist with guest inquiries and requests
  • Assist in other essential FOH duties including answering phones, taking to-go orders, accepting reservations, assisting hosts, expos, and bussers
  • Complete shift tasks according to restaurant needs
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
