Job Description

Zuma is a contemporary Japanese restaurant collection inspired by the dynamic Izakaya dining style. With venues located in some of North America's most iconic cities including Miami, New York, Las Vegas, and Boston, Zuma has established itself as a premier dining destination known for excellence and a vibrant atmosphere. Each location reflects the brand's commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through attention to detail, quality ingredients, and innovative culinary techniques. As part of the prestigious Azumi collection, Zuma represents a global standard of contemporary Japanese cuisine and hospitality. The brand is renowned for its Robata grills and distinctive approach to dining that balances tradition with modernity, creating a truly memorable atmosphere for guests.

As a Zuma Bartender, you will be instrumental in creating unforgettable dining experiences by crafting exceptional cocktails, providing attentive service, and fostering a welcoming ambiance at the bar. This role offers compensation of $17.75 per hour plus tips, reflecting the importance Zuma places on rewarding expertise and passion. You will engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking drink orders, offering menu recommendations, and sharing information about the unique offerings of Zuma's cocktail program. Your mixology skills will shine as you prepare and serve a wide variety of cocktails, spirits, wines, and other beverages, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation align with Zuma’s high standards.

The position also requires creativity in using fresh ingredients, house-made syrups, and premium spirits to craft innovative and visually appealing cocktails that enhance the overall guest experience. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area is essential for complying with health and safety regulations as well as company standards. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels and communicating supply needs to ensure smooth operations. This role demands flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays, common in a high-volume, upscale hospitality environment.

Life at Zuma is defined by a vibrant community spirit, where team members embody core values such as Honoring the Mastery by striving for perfection in every detail, Doing Unto Others by supporting each other and treating everyone with warmth and openness, and Embracing the Energy by bringing passion and positivity to every task. This creates a dynamic workplace centered on collaboration, respect, and shared success. Zuma offers incredible career growth opportunities including world-class training programs designed to inspire and educate, global career paths across its international venues, and a supportive culture that values and rewards contributions. Team members benefit from comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance, daily family meals, staff discounts across the worldwide Azumi group, and meaningful rewards and recognition. Zuma is also committed to inclusivity as an equal opportunities employer and provides assistance to ensure an accessible recruitment process for all candidates.

Joining Zuma means becoming part of a world-class team dedicated to elevating contemporary Japanese dining on a global stage. If you are passionate about mixology, enjoy working in a high-energy and team-focused environment, and want to be part of an internationally recognized hospitality brand, the Zuma Bartender role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your career and create exceptional dining moments for guests.
