Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- strong customer service focus
- ability to stand for extended periods
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- basic math skills for handling transactions
- compliance with club policies and alcohol regulations
- willingness to perform physical tasks related to bar maintenance and restocking
Job Qualifications
- Prior bartending or hospitality experience is encouraged but not required
- strong knowledge of classic cocktails and spirits
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- ability to build positive relationships with members and colleagues
- experience with POS systems operations preferred
- passion for whiskey and beverage craftsmanship
- leadership qualities and team player mindset
- flexible availability including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Communicate with members and ensure consistent professional behavior and civility
- make recommendations you genuinely feel members specifically will enjoy
- answer questions about our beverages and other club functions and/or upcoming events
- order drinks from members, place orders in our POS and mix/pour drinks as members and guests’ request
- restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies as needed
- keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required to maintain an organized/clean bar area
- maintain clean bar areas and adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
- monitor and observe members bar experience
- ensure members are satisfied with their drinks and service
- respond promptly and courteously to any requests
- prepare final bill with chit to member/guest, confirm the member number or signature and charge the bill to the appropriate member account
- assist fellow bartenders as needed
- fill in to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the bar as directed by your captain/supervisor
- be ready to work more than one shift with breaks when required
