The Bartender role at Life Time is a critical position within the hospitality team, responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and safety standards. This role involves actively engaging with members and customers, providing excellent service, answering questions, and maintaining a clean and orderly bar area to ensure a positive customer experience. Bartenders at Life Time follow specific recipes to craft cocktails with accuracy and flair, handle transactions efficiently, and manage inventory to keep the bar well-stocked throughout shifts. Additional responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness of the bar area, equipment, and furniture, as well as reconciling the cash register at the end of each shift. Bartenders also must be certified to serve alcohol and be prepared to obtain CPR/AED certification soon after hire to ensure safety in the workplace.
This position requires physical stamina to handle repetitive bending and lifting over 20 pounds, along with the ability to either stand in one place or move about the café area for long periods. The role's dynamic nature means bartenders often interact with a diverse membership base, making interpersonal skills and customer service aptitude essential. Experience in inventory management and ordering supplies is preferred, providing candidates with an advantage to support bar operations efficiently. Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 to 2 years of bartending experience
- Certified to serve alcohol
- CPR AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
- Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
- Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods of time

Job Duties
- Follows recipes in order to appropriately prepare cocktails and other drinks including adding garnish
- Serves members and customers in a timely fashion including checking identification accepting payment and answering any questions that may arise
- Maintains cleanliness by cleaning bar surface furniture and equipment and returning used dishware to the bar kitchen
- Maintains supplies by re-stocking liquors wines beer and non-alcoholic ingredients and replacing beer barrels
- Reconciles the bar's cash register at the end of the shift
