Job Description

The hiring establishment is a dynamic hospitality business specializing in beverage service, focused on creating memorable experiences for patrons through exceptional bartending services. As a cornerstone of the hospitality industry, this company prides itself on maintaining high standards in customer service, beverage preparation, and overall bar management. With an emphasis on professionalism and quality, the company offers a fast-paced, engaging working environment where employees are encouraged to develop their skills in a supportive team culture. This establishment operates primarily in settings where alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are served, catering to a diverse clientele with varying tastes and preferences.\n\nThe Bartender role is a pivotal position within the company tasked with mixing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as food items to guests in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner. Bartenders are responsible for adhering to company policies and procedures, including checking identification to comply with legal drinking age requirements and using the point-of-sale system accurately for transactions. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of liquor, beer, and wine, including the ability to prepare cocktails with precision by mixing various ingredients such as liquors, soda, water, garnishes, and bitters. In addition, bartenders maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in line with health and safety standards, ensuring all glassware is washed and properly stored daily.\n\nKey aspects of the job include inventory management—taking accurate counts during shifts and completing related paperwork—as well as ordering stock through the Commissary Order Sheet system. Cash handling responsibilities are critical, requiring bartenders to follow established policies for collecting payments efficiently and securely. Moreover, bartenders must be knowledgeable about operating bar equipment, maintaining a clean and tidy uniform at all times, and contribute positively to a productive and friendly work environment. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift objects up to 50 pounds occasionally. Bartenders also play a role in safety management within their environment by understanding the location and proper use of fire-fighting equipment, first aid kits, and emergency protocols.\n\nThis position requires at least three years of bartending experience, a high school diploma or GED equivalent, as well as certifications such as the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission License (TABC), Serve-safe certification (Food Handlers), and the ability to pass background checks and regulatory permits where applicable. Candidates with excellent communication skills, a good memory for handling multiple orders, and a positive attitude will thrive in this role. The company supports personal growth and professional development through mandatory training and departmental meetings, fostering a team-oriented approach to delivering high-quality service in a vibrant, often high-volume environment.
