The LineUp at Wai Kai is currently seeking experienced bartenders to join its dynamic Food and Beverage team. This part-time, non-exempt position is ideal for individuals who bring confidence and skill behind the bar, have a strong passion for the craft, and understand the importance of presentation and consistency. The role involves preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and company standards. In this role, you will have the chance to develop your bartending expertise while working in a professional, guest-facing environment. Responsibilities extend beyond drink preparation to include managing guest orders, maintaining clean and organized bar areas, collaborating with servers and kitchen staff, and applying responsible alcohol service practices. Your ability to anticipate guest needs, use sound judgment in handling concerns, and manage cash transactions accurately will contribute significantly to the overall guest experience. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 2 to 3 years of bartending experience, particularly in high-volume or upscale settings, along with strong knowledge of cocktails, liquors, beer, wine, and garnishing. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and the ability to obtain the required State of Hawai‘i Liquor Commission card are essential. While CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, the most important qualities are professionalism, guest engagement skills, and the ability to uphold the venue’s high standards. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 35 pounds comfortably, stand for long periods, and work safely in an active indoor-outdoor environment.
