Job Description
The LineUp at Wai Kai is a distinguished food and beverage establishment nestled in the vibrant locale of Ewa Beach, Hawai‘i. As one of West O‘ahu’s premier waterfront destinations, it offers guests an elevated hospitality experience set against a stunning backdrop. Renowned for its design-forward and sophisticated ambiance, The LineUp at Wai Kai attracts a diverse clientele seeking both relaxation and refined service in a polished yet relaxed environment. This venue prides itself on combining exceptional service standards with a focus on quality, consistency, and guest engagement, making it a sought-after workplace for hospitality professionals.
The LineUp at Wai Kai is currently seeking experienced bartenders to join its dynamic Food and Beverage team. This part-time, non-exempt position is ideal for individuals who bring confidence and skill behind the bar, have a strong passion for the craft, and understand the importance of presentation and consistency. As a bartender at this premier waterfront destination, you will be integral in delivering thoughtful service while contributing to the vibrant and upscale atmosphere that The LineUp at Wai Kai is known for. The role involves preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and company standards. You will engage guests confidently and professionally, ensuring each interaction is memorable and aligns with the venue’s commitment to elevated hospitality.
This position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team that values professionalism, respect, and clear service expectations. Bartenders at The LineUp at Wai Kai benefit from working in a highly frequented venue with consistent guest volume, providing strong earning potential. The role includes shifts that may encompass peak hours, weekends, and special events, adding variety and excitement to your work schedule. Employees enjoy the support of a well-organized team where clear standards and recipes help maintain high service quality.
In this role, you will have the chance to develop your bartending expertise while working in a professional, guest-facing environment. Responsibilities extend beyond drink preparation to include managing guest orders, maintaining clean and organized bar areas, collaborating with servers and kitchen staff, and applying responsible alcohol service practices. Your ability to anticipate guest needs, use sound judgment in handling concerns, and manage cash transactions accurately will contribute significantly to the overall guest experience. The LineUp at Wai Kai also emphasizes safety and compliance with policies, ensuring a safe workplace for both staff and customers.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 2 to 3 years of bartending experience, particularly in high-volume or upscale settings, along with strong knowledge of cocktails, liquors, beer, wine, and garnishing. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and the ability to obtain the required State of Hawai‘i Liquor Commission card are essential. While CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, the most important qualities are professionalism, guest engagement skills, and the ability to uphold the venue’s high standards. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 35 pounds comfortably, stand for long periods, and work safely in an active indoor-outdoor environment.
By joining The LineUp at Wai Kai, bartenders become part of a prestigious destination dedicated to delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences within an inspiring waterfront setting. If you are passionate about bartending and ready to thrive in a respected, guest-focused workplace, The LineUp invites you to apply and bring your expertise to this exciting team setting.
