Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a hospitality or bar environment preferred
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift and carry heavy items

Job Qualifications
- Must consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet guests' needs and respond quickly without losing focus or projecting a mood that detracts from the guests' overall experience
- must clearly communicate in a professional manner with guests, vendors, coworkers and management
- must understand instructions, read written company memorandums and communicate when he or she needs more direction or training
- must adapt to different personalities of guests and coworkers without losing focus

- must perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing and handling of materials
- must be able to stand for long periods of time
- must recognize a problem when it arises and be able to resolve it appropriately by using good judgement, tact and initiative according to company policy and procedure
- general accounting and mathematical skills required along with point of sale application knowledge
- must correctly operate various mechanical devices such as pos systems, credit card machines and mixers
- must evaluate current practices and processes, immediately recognize potential areas of conflict, and initiate ways to improve current business methods, quality of products and services provided to the guests
- must be able to write and speak english effectively
- occasionally works overtime and assists with the workload of others if needed
- additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
Job Duties
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly professional manner when applicable
- assist bartenders with all aspects of guest service
- smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- wash and sterilize glassware and other serving equipment at bars
- prepare garnishes for drinks
- maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
- maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
- report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to bar manager
- maintain and stock adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, etc.
- stock refrigeration units with wines, beer, replace beer kegs, etc.
- replenish ice at bar
- empty bar trash cans
- attend all scheduled employee meetings
- additional tasks as assigned
