Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established seafood restaurant chain with a rich history that dates back over fifty years. Founded on the vision of providing people with a special connection to seafood and the coast, Red Lobster has grown into a family of more than 500 restaurants. Each location serves as an extension of the founding passion for quality seafood dining and memorable experiences. The company prides itself on being more than just a place to eat and work; it sees itself as an integral part of the communities it serves. Guests are welcomed like family, sharing in favorite meals and special moments. The hospitality culture at Red Lobster encourages new friendships to flourish and regular customers to become familiar faces.
The role of Bartender at Red Lobster offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to be part of this vibrant hospitality team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly and ensuring they have a memorable experience. Your duties will include preparing the bar area before opening, maintaining cleanliness and order throughout your shift, and skillfully crafting drinks to established standards with the correct recipes, glassware, and garnishes. Additionally, you will suggest drinks, appetizers, and desserts to guests to enhance their visit. Accuracy in entering orders into the POS system will be essential, along with actively checking on guests to ensure their satisfaction and offering refills when appropriate. Completing transactions efficiently and courteously, thanking customers, and inviting them to return are key parts of the service experience.
Red Lobster offers competitive weekly pay and flexible scheduling to support work-life balance. There are attractive insurance options that start at less than $10 per week, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Employees can also benefit from life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefit plans. A 401(k) retirement savings plan is available with company contributions after one year of service. Additional perks such as anniversary pay (subject to eligibility), discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount for dining as a guest are also provided. Most importantly, Red Lobster is committed to employee growth and development, providing training and career advancement opportunities within the company.
Physical requirements for this role include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds. The ability to stand for shifts lasting between 8 to 12 hours is necessary, as is the capability to work effectively as part of a team while paying close attention to detail and multitasking. Red Lobster is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and fostering an inclusive workplace environment. The company is excited about its future plans and invites motivated individuals to join its large family and help contribute to continued success and growth.
