Job Description

Red Lobster is a well-established and reputable restaurant chain that has been serving customers for over fifty years. Originating from a small family-owned seafood restaurant, Red Lobster has grown into a large family of more than 500 restaurants. The restaurant prides itself on providing a special connection between customers and the seafood and coastal experience they cherish. Each restaurant is a reflection of the founding passion, emphasizing quality meals and memorable moments with family and friends. Red Lobster is more than just a place to eat and work; it is a community-centered establishment where new friendships are forged, and familiar faces become part of the family.

The role of Bartender at Red Lobster is dynamic and requires a personable and attentive individual who can contribute to creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for guests. This position offers competitive weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and a range of benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at under $10 per week. Employees also have access to life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits, as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service. Additional perks include anniversary pay, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster invests in its employees by providing training and career advancement opportunities, making it an excellent workplace for growth and development.

As a Bartender, the individual will play a key role in guest satisfaction by warmly welcoming customers, preparing the bar and drink stations before opening, and efficiently restocking as needed. The bartender will suggest drinks, appetizers, and desserts to enhance the dining experience while maintaining high standards in drink preparation using established recipes, glassware, and garnishes. Accurate order taking and point-of-sale system operation are essential, along with ensuring ongoing customer care, offering refills, and clearing unused items from the area. Timely billing and courteous farewells are also important responsibilities. The role requires adherence to all food safety regulations to maintain the health and safety of guests and staff.

Physical requirements include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds, as well as standing for 8 to 12-hour shifts. This role is ideal for those who enjoy teamwork, multitasking, and have an eye for detail. Red Lobster is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. The company promotes an inclusive and welcoming workplace, emphasizing equal employment opportunities regardless of age, race, gender, disability, or veteran status.
