The bartender role at Taste Buds Management is a central position within the restaurant, focused on delivering fun, energetic, and personalized service to every guest at the bar. Bartenders here are not only responsible for preparing and serving drinks quickly and accurately but also play a key part in supporting the restaurant’s servers by ensuring timely delivery of beverages to guests in the dining area. This role demands a balance of an outgoing personality with deep technical expertise in mixology and drink preparation. Each bartender is expected to provide excellent customer service using the company’s 3 Deep Mentality approach, meaning even during the busiest times, every guest receives attentive and friendly service. Bartenders are accountable not only for their assigned section but for the entire bar area, requiring teamwork and coordination to maintain smooth operations.
Furthermore, this position requires a comprehensive understanding of Taste Buds Management's service standards, ensuring all food and drinks meet the highest specifications. Bartenders are encouraged to engage with guests by using their names and building regular clientele while upholding professionalism and discretion at all times, especially regarding tips and guest interactions. The role also includes various opening, running, and closing duties which are assigned by management and documented in the Bar Duties Book. Bartenders will rotate through different specialized roles such as Rail, Service Bar, and Cocktail, gaining exposure and experience in each area to contribute fully to the restaurant’s success.
To be successful, the bartender must possess competencies in quality, quantity, safety, and attend punctually to work shifts. The job involves physical demands such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds while working in varying temperature conditions across dining, kitchen, and storage areas. A positive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to adhere to safety procedures and company policies are essential. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- ability to write simple correspondence
- effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations
- ability to read, write, and understand English
- ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated instructions
- physical capability to stand, walk, lift, and work in various temperature environments
- adherence to drug, alcohol, and smoking policies
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverage orders quickly and courteously to the guests
- ensure all food and drinks meet Taste Buds Management's specifications
- practice 3 Deep Mentality to provide excellent service to all bar guests
- serve all guests with interest, speed, and attention to detail according to service standards
- be accountable for a particular bar section and responsible for the entire bar and bar area
- allow others to deliver food or drinks without interruption
- obtain and use guests' names to build regular clientele
- provide guests with information about the restaurant and company
- perform assigned opening, running, shift change, and closing duties
- complete all side work as posted in the Bar Duties Book
- maintain professionalism and do not discuss tips or complaints about guests at the bar
