Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant with a rich history spanning over fifty years. Born from a vision to connect people to the sea and coastal experiences, Red Lobster has grown to a vast network of over 500 restaurants across various communities. The establishment prides itself not only on serving fresh seafood but also on creating memorable dining moments where guests feel like part of a larger family. Every Red Lobster location stands as a testament to the company's commitment to quality, hospitality, and community engagement.
As a Bartender at Red Lobster, you play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences that go beyond just serving drinks. This position is vital to ensuring that every guest receives warm hospitality, quality beverages, and attentive service. Bartenders are responsible for setting up the bar area, including pour and glassware stations before opening, and managing stock by restocking beverages, mixes, and garnishes throughout the shift. A key part of the role involves suggestively selling drinks, appetizers, and desserts, enhancing the overall customer dining experience.
The role requires making drinks precisely according to the recipe, including the correct glassware and garnish, guaranteeing consistency and satisfaction with every order. Accurate order taking through POS systems and timely delivery of food and beverages is essential. Bartenders must regularly check in with guests to provide refills and clear tables to maintain a clean and enjoyable environment. Efficiently delivering and settling the check with gratitude and an invitation to return helps foster lasting guest relationships.
Safety and hygiene standards are prioritized, meaning adherence to food safety protocols is mandatory. The position demands physical endurance, including the ability to stand for 8 to 12-hour shifts, and handle lifting objects up to 30 pounds safely. Applicants must meet minimum age requirements and be authorized to work in their respective countries. Red Lobster values teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Red Lobster offers competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and a comprehensive benefits package. This includes access to medical, dental, and vision coverage starting at under $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match after one year of service. Employee recognition through anniversary pay and discounted shift meals are additional perks. The company also invests in employee growth and advancement through training and career opportunities.
Being part of the Red Lobster family means embracing their core values and contributing to a welcoming environment for both guests and employees. Red Lobster is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and providing equitable opportunities without discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status. This is an exciting time to join Red Lobster as they continue to expand and innovate their dining experience, making it an ideal place for career-oriented individuals seeking long-term growth in the hospitality industry.
