The Host position at Willows Lodge plays an essential role in shaping the first impression guests receive. As the initial and final point of contact in the restaurant, the Host has the responsibility of creating a welcoming atmosphere and facilitating an efficient flow of service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Positive attitude and team player mindset

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet guests as they arrive and thank them as they leave
  • Manage the guest waiting list and provide wait-time estimates
  • Monitor the dining room for clean and available tables
  • Seat guests and help maintain an organized flow of service
  • Assist guests while they are waiting
  • Answer the telephone and book reservations
  • Update and confirm reservations as needed
  • Arrange tables for large parties
  • Communicate guest needs and seating updates to the service team
  • Assist with other restaurant duties as needed
