Job Description
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is a globally acclaimed leader in the luxury hospitality sector, renowned for its exceptional service standards, elegant environments, and a strong commitment to a people-first culture. The company is distinguished by its dedication to personal growth, teamwork, and excellence, cultivating a workplace where passion, character, and heart are infused into every aspect of the guest experience. Operating at the highest level of luxury hospitality, Four Seasons places a premium on creating meaningful impressions through genuine connections, kindness, and unparalleled service. This philosophy enables the company to maintain its leadership in the industry by empowering its employees within a supportive culture focused on learning, collaboration, and continual pursuit of excellence.
The Barkeeper role at Four Seasons is a pivotal position that contributes to delivering a superior guest experience during private functions, celebrations, and resort events. Those in this role will have the opportunity to craft extraordinary beverage experiences, ensuring that every interaction and service detail reflects the signature Four Seasons luxury standard. As a Barkeeper, you will be responsible for providing polished, seamless bar service within dynamic and high-energy event environments. This role demands not only technical bartending expertise but also the ability to engage guests proactively and professionally, enhancing their enjoyment and the overall atmosphere of the event.
Key responsibilities include delivering exceptional beverage services for banquet events in strict adherence to the Four Seasons standards and all relevant alcohol service regulations. You will be the welcoming face at the bar—greeting guests with warmth and attentiveness that elevates the guest experience while efficiently serving a diverse range of cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages. Maintaining an extensive knowledge of the bar offerings, including key ingredients, preparation techniques, and recommended food and drink pairings, is essential. In addition to preparing drinks, the Barkeeper will oversee the setup and breakdown of bar stations, ensuring all supplies, equipment, mixers, and garnishes are stocked and ready for use throughout the event.
Collaboration is a critical aspect of this role; you will work closely with banquet captains, event managers, and various service teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events. Promptly addressing any guest concerns with courtesy and delivering solutions that exceed expectations will further enhance the reputation of Four Seasons' service. Adherence to strict sanitation, safety, and responsible alcohol service policies is mandatory, underscoring the company’s commitment to guest safety and comfort. Flexibility is also important, as you may be called upon to assist additional food and beverage outlets, including pool bar service, helping maintain a clean and organized bar environment during your shifts.
Compensation for the Barkeeper position is competitive and based on experience, with additional earnings through separate tips and service charges for banquet events. There are opportunities for additional work hours during peak periods, supporting a flexible work environment that responds to seasonal needs. Four Seasons also delivers one of the hospitality industry’s leading benefits packages, offering comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents, generous paid time off, and attractive staff discounts on lodging, dining, and retail. Employees can benefit from discounted housing, access to a staff travel program with reduced rates at Four Seasons properties worldwide, complimentary meals, no-cost uniform cleaning, and access to cost-effective ski passes transferable to others.
Joining Four Seasons as a Barkeeper means becoming part of an organization that values authenticity, enthusiasm, and dedication. Under the guiding principle of the Golden Rule—treating others as one wishes to be treated—Four Seasons fosters meaningful relationships among team members and guests, delivering memorable experiences that define luxury hospitality. This role is ideal for professionals seeking to sharpen their skills in an elite environment while contributing to an outstanding service culture.
