The resort is currently seeking an enthusiastic and organically upbeat Barista/Retail Attendant to join its dynamic team. This role centers around preparing and serving customers at the resort’s retail shop and coffee shop with a bright smile and exceptional customer service. In this role, the Barista/Retail Attendant will be responsible for creating high-quality coffee and specialty drinks, serving ice cream and gelato, and assisting guests with both product selection and retail purchases. The position requires attention to detail in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop, ensuring that all food and beverage items are replenished and the environment remains inviting throughout operating hours. Additionally, the Barista/Retail Attendant will participate in monthly inventory duties, such as counting, scanning, restocking, and organizing merchandise and food items.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to consistently provide excellent and engaging customer service
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience required
  • ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • flexibility to work hours that may change based on season or business needs
  • must be able to stay calm under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in espresso bar service preferred but not required
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience required
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to stay calm in fast paced and sometimes stressful situations with guests
  • ability to learn new recipes and techniques
  • ability to work well as part of a team or independently
  • basic math skills including addition and subtraction

Job Duties

  • Greeting all guests in an upbeat and professional manner
  • making coffees and specialty coffees
  • selling and upselling items in retail shop
  • preparing and serving ice cream and gelato to guests
  • replenishing all food and beverage items
  • maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the shop during operating hours including sweeping, sanitizing, and wiping down areas consistently
  • assisting with monthly inventory including counting, scanning, restocking, and organizing
