Job Description

Oat & Honey Coffee Co. is a mobile coffee cart business based in Pasadena, California, that serves various locations across Los Angeles. As a growing company dedicated to delivering high-quality coffee experiences, Oat & Honey specializes in crafting delicious espresso and matcha beverages for events throughout the LA area. The company prides itself on its commitment to exceptional customer service, creativity, and fostering a team-oriented environment. By combining innovation and the love of coffee culture, Oat & Honey has become a unique and beloved presence at many local gatherings and events.

Currently, Oat & Honey Coffee Co. is looking to expand its team by hiring part-time and flexible schedule roles to support both behind-the-scenes operations as well as event-based activities. The roles available range from Operations Assistant, Barista, and Event Setup & Breakdown Crew, as well as possibilities for employees to combine multiple roles depending on their skills and interests. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are motivated, reliable, and eager to learn while contributing to the growth of a small business with a strong community focus.

The Operations Assistant role is centered around supporting the company’s internal processes close to Pasadena, California. This position involves responsibilities such as testing new recipes, assisting with event preparation, managing inventory and supplies, coordinating email marketing efforts, and generating fresh social media content. The ideal candidate for this role is highly organized, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment where they can take initiative and play an influential role in the business’s growth.

For those passionate about coffee and customer engagement, the Barista Team is expanding to include about five flexible members who will assist primarily at events on an as-needed basis. Baristas will prepare espresso and matcha drinks, provide excellent customer service, help with restocking, and assist with event setup and breakdown. Prior experience with coffee or matcha is a plus, but Oat & Honey is willing to train the right candidates who demonstrate reliability, eagerness to learn, and enthusiasm for joining the team.

The Event Setup & Breakdown Crew roles focus mainly on the physical aspects of event management, such as loading and unloading equipment, setting up mobile coffee carts, arranging event spaces, transporting supplies, and ensuring thorough packing after events. The company is looking for candidates comfortable with physical labor who can lift heavier equipment and efficiently work as part of a team. Most of this work will take place before and after events, typically on weekends.

The pay range for these positions is between $15.00 and $20.00 per hour, reflecting the flexible, part-time nature of the roles and the value Oat & Honey places on its team members. The company emphasizes a supportive work atmosphere where flexibility is a key benefit, allowing team members to maintain a schedule that fits their lifestyle. All roles require in-person work, primarily in Pasadena and locations across Los Angeles. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to be part of a growing coffee business dedicated to quality, community, and innovation.
