The Barista / Cashier position is centered on the dual responsibilities of crafting high-quality beverages and food items and managing the cash register to facilitate smooth and timely transactions. The barista must consistently implement FIFO (first in, first out) procedures to ensure all products are fresh and safe for consumption. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Food Handler’s card or Serv Safe certification required
  • Six months barista experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage stress and composure

  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
  • Availability to work from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Consistently provide quality beverages and food by following FIFO (first in, first out) procedures, reviewing expiration dates and inspecting for freshness
  • Operate cash register to handle food and beverage transactions
  • Ensure transactions are processed in a timely manner
  • Ensure products are labeled, stocked and organized in the café
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage products sold and their ingredients
  • Highlight café items and recommend pairings to customers based on purchases
  • Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge always
