The Barista/Apps position at Din Tai Fung is a critical back-of-house (kitchen) role that plays a key part in bringing the Din Tai Fung experience to life behind the scenes. This role involves managing three distinct stations: the Boba beverage station, the appetizer plating side station, and the takeout packing station. As a Barista/Apps team member, you will be responsible for preparing all beverages at the Boba station with accuracy and care, plating appetizer items in line with the restaurant's established recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring takeout orders are packed carefully and neatly. The role demands precision, consistency, and strong teamwork to maintain the high standards Din Tai Fung is known for.

In addition to the hands-on technical tasks, you will be expected to keep all three stations clean, organized, and fully stocked. Regular inventory checks and restocking duties ensure a seamless flow of service throughout each shift. Job Requirements

Applicant must be 18 years of age or older
Able to provide documentation to work legally in the United States
Open availability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Ability to stand for long periods of time during shifts
Willingness to work collaboratively within a team

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in food service or beverage preparation is preferred but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Positive and professional attitude
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow established recipes and Standard Operating Procedures

Job Duties

Prepare all beverages at the Boba station in alignment with established recipes and SOPs
Plate appetizer items at the side station following standard procedures
Carefully pack takeout orders at the Packing Station ensuring proper presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all three stations throughout shifts
Take inventory and restock items as needed to ensure continuous service flow
Collaborate effectively with team members to meet service demands
Adhere to safety and hygiene standards in all tasks
