The position of Barista/Expo at Din Tai Fung’s Arcadia location is a vital role situated within the kitchen’s back of house operations. The Barista/Expo is primarily responsible for creating specialty boba drinks, plating appetizers at the Side Station, and efficiently packing takeout orders to ensure they meet the rigorous quality standards Din Tai Fung is known for. This role requires adherence to established recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring consistency and the highest levels of guest satisfaction.

In addition to food preparation tasks, the Barista/Expo plays an essential part in maintaining cleanliness and operational readiness across three key stations: the Boba Station, Side Station, and Packing Station. Routine inventory management and restocking duties also fall under this role’s responsibilities, guaranteeing that supplies are constantly available and the workflow remains uninterrupted. The position demands a positive and professional attitude and the ability to work cooperatively within a team structure. Job Duties

  • make all drinks in the boba station
  • plate all appetizer items in the side station
  • pack takeout orders in the packing station according to established recipes and SOPs
  • clean and maintain the boba, side, and packing stations
  • take regular inventory of supplies
  • restock necessary items
  • assist with other kitchen duties as assigned
